| Recently, “Research and Application of Key 5G + Cloud-Platform-Based Control Technologies for Large-Scale Coal-Fired Power Units”, submitted by Xinji Company (a subsidiary of China National Coal Group), received an Excellence Award in the “Green Industry” category of the 2025 BRICS Industrial Innovation Competition. The project has achieved breakthroughs in core technologies such as 5G-enabled virtual DCS control and cloud-based intelligent control, establishing a coordinated “cloud-edge-device” architecture. This innovation fills a domestic gap in the large-scale application of intelligent cloud control systems for power generation. Key performance outcomes include: power supply coal consumption reduced to 261.4 gce/kWh, unit startup time shortened by 35%. Moreover, the technical framework demonstrates strong versatility and can be readily adapted to other high-energy-consumption sectors, including thermal and hydro power, energy storage, steel, and chemical industries. — Xinji Company | ||
